The Chamber’s four standing committees are listed below. Members
are encouraged to share their expertise and experience through their
active participation to assist in meeting members needs by enhancing
the programs and services offered. Committees meet monthly for about
an hour and a half at the Chamber office.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES
Responsibilities:
- Determine opportunities for membership growth and retention.
- Organize programs necessary to accomplish goals concerning
membership.
- Oversee the Internet program and Chamber website.
LEGISLATIVE / COMMUNITY
AFFAIRS
Responsibilities:
- Review, study and make recommendations to the Executive
Committee.
- Regarding local, county and statewide issues that they
feel are of importance or concern to our business community.
- Foster effective relations and partnerships between the
public and private sectors.
EVENTS AND PROGRAMS
Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual calendar of events, mixers and luncheon
programs.
- Oversee and work with staff to ensure successful events
and programs.
- Report to Board on a regular basis the planning stages
and outcome of events and programs.
EDUCATION
Responsibilities:
- Provide members with functional sales, marketing and
management tools through a series of educational seminars.
- Work with La Quinta High School to develop an annual “Ethics
Day.”
